Inuka Cultural Center is a youth empowerment program that uses movement arts, knowledge-based workshops, and professional development training to create expanded life choices for youth and communities.

Based in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya, Inuka consists of three pillar programs:

Programs are offered for free to youth and community members at the Inuka Studio, located at St. George Orthodox Church in Kibera.

Inuka means “rising” in Kiswahili which reflects our vision of uplifting youth in marginalized communities. The word Inuka holds the ideals of aspiration, upward mobility, and self-empowerment. These are the core qualities that we want our participants to embody.
